GreenSprings w/Dave. Another toasty morning run. Nothing eventful except that we made it back in one piece.

3 Parkway half. Decided to try running twice a day. Filled up the water bottle and hit the road. Water was gone before I finished. So HOT. I'll prob keep low miles in the afternoon and try to get used to it slowly.

6.6 Parkway to Highland with Dave. Legs where a bit tired from yesterday but not horribly so. Will see if I make it through tonights club run.

(cumulus 173.34)

6.81 Club run. Lots of sprinklers to run through. Dustin and Austin where kind enough to hang back and run the last few miles with me.

Club run down the marathon course. Marci jumped out at 12 and I got out at 15. Dave and Logan went up to 20. Started out feeling like 7:30 was going to be about it for the whole run but I started feeling it and picked it up. Hit a couple 5:50 miles in the middle and avg out 6:53. I kept thinking Dave and Logan where going to come blowing by but the extra five miles was enough to keep them off me. Other than getting a bloody nose and looking like someone shot me cause of all the blood it was a great run. Highest mileage week yet!!

8.15 Mall Dr. to Blvd w/Dave. Still a tiny bit sore and tired from Saturdays run. Thought I smelled rain when I first got up but no such luck once I got outside. Bummer.

3 Short reverse Parkway. Way to hot and way to tired to do more.

5.1 Parkway w/Dave. We got out just a bit earlier this morning and it was nice. Not much cooler cause its freaking 10,000 degrees out but still nice. Legs felt good even after yesterdays runs.

Club run around the Painters course. A bit muggy at first but nice to have some moisture on the ground. Bruised my heel last night while trying to keep the rain out of the camper so that hurt some during the run but overall I felt good.

4.7 Parkway with Big D. Felt really good this morning. Getting some decent sleep has helped me this last week.

6.8 Club run. Everyone did the short route today. Kind of fun to have everyone on the whole run. Took it nice and easy as several of us are getting ready for Saturday.

I was a bit nervous about this run. I really wanted to cut some time off my last 1/2 and didnt want to be disapointed if I didnt. It helped a lot to have Dave and Clyde and Logan giving me encouragment (Thanks guys!). All the training is starting to pay off. I was able to shave another 6 minutes off my PR. Went out a little slower and I think that helped me have some gas at the end of the race.

4 Out to mall dr and home with Dave. Wow am I sore. Ouchy.

(stratus 212.92)

3.6 Short Parkway. Pretty sore at the start of the run but was much better by the end. Went nice and easy on account of the stiffness and freaking heat.

Reverse Highland/Grapevine. Nothing says good morning like running up a giant hill. Its a good way to wake up I guess.

Club run down the last 18 of the marathon course. Started off nice and easy and then Logan, Dave and Clyde started picking up the pace. I ran with Dustin and Marci for a while then headed out on my own. Was feeling great until mile 14 and then I crashed hard. Still not quite recovered from last Saturdays race I think. This morning in the dark I was trying not to wake up the whole house and took out a fileing cabinet with my knee. Bruised my kneecap. It was ok till I stopped running but now it hurts like a mother. What a spaz.

Highland. Made the mistake of going at dark on this run. The boogyman was after me out there in the hills all alone.

Fields w/Dave. Not a good run at all. Body is feeling really beat up and worn down. Makes it hard to want to run at all.
