Middleton with Dave. Ran into "The Bull" just past Green Springs and he ran out and back into Washington with us. When we first started it felt like we where sprinting and I was thinking "Dave, your going to kill me here". Then I checked the pace and it wasnt any faster than it should have been. Guess im still adujsting to the amount of running.

Green Springs w/Dave. Left knee started hurting about mile three but other than that it was a good run. I can tell Daves starting to recover from the 50k cause our times are getting quicker for each run. Either that or hes sick of walking along waiting for me and isnt going to wait around any more.

Parkway with Dave. Legs where pretty tired this morning. Long night at the hospital plus the trail run yesterday kicked my butt. Not sure how the race will be tomorrow.

Went for a little jog before the race to loosen up.

1 - 6.09 Watched Dave pull away. Dustin was just ahead of me and I just wanted to stay within a reasonable distance of him.

2 - 6.09 I was wondering if I went out to quick at this point cause I was sucking air big time. Just trying not to fall too far behind.

3 - 6.13 Still battling the breathing. Passed Dustin right around here. I think he stopped to drink.

4 - 6.35 I can tell that Im slowing but cant get moving. Dustin passed me somewhere on this mile. The juice is really gone.

5 - 6.45 Just trying to stay as close to Dustin as possible but he starts to pull away.

6 - 6.21 Talked myself into picking it up. Once again sucking air through every opening i can find to get more.

.39 2.33 Dave came back and tried to help me finish strong. It helped but I couldnt get much more out of the old body.

Over all I feel good about this race. Everyone was measuring it long ( I got 6.39) so the times where all off. Looks like I need to work on getting the lungs built up. My legs felt alright but I could not get enough air.

Fields run with Dave. IT band on the left leg was sore after the race and I was worried I might start having an issue with it but everything was good today. Nice morning run.

Warmup at the park with Dave. This was a quick sucker. Not a ton of runners but alot of really quick times. I ran pretty good. Not as well as I would have liked but I did PR by 3 minutes so thats nice.

Middleton with Dave. Didnt run Sat and Im glad. My body feels much better after a couple days rest. The calves are pretty tender this morning after Fridays race though. Got up a little early and stretched and got moving a bit before we started running. Loosened up after a couple miles and was ok during the run. Tighened right back up afterwards. Ouchy.

Fields run. I was feeling pretty good and so around mile six I thought " hey, I going to throw a couple tempo miles in here." 1/2 a mile later I said " one tempo mile will be plenty." Needless to say I was a bit less energetic the rest of the run. 7:12 Avg

Grapevine to Highland with Dave. The hill out of Grapevine ate my lunch today. I was pretty much walking by the time we got the the top.

Went camping out west of Delta trying to find some trilobytes. We where up in the mountains and it was 3 1/2 miles straight down and then back up. Hard run.
