First I would like to thank all those runners faster than me for not showing up to this race and enabling me to win. Not as many runners this year. I felt good and ran well. Time was right on with my PR if im not mistaken. It was wierd leading the way and not really knowing where to go at each turn. The finish wasnt marked well and I went the wrong way and had to go back and do it right. Oh well. I won and it felt good. Ran back and found Ally and ran the last bit with her.

Big sweep for the Holt Boys!

From Brent on Sat, May 10, 2008 at 21:10:33

Outstanding, win, 500 commando points. By the way, you are a heck lot faster than your 3:26 marathon. Your going to demolish that this year.

Stay Kool, B of BS Rools out

Nice job adding a win to your resume. Did you win any fun booty?

"What's another name for Pirate Treasure?"

"You mean... Booty!"

Thanks for the support. It was fun to win a race. They didnt have any good booty. I got a one month pass to the new rec center but we just bought a one year family pass. Oh well.

From Wildbull on Mon, May 12, 2008 at 13:58:17

James, I am your friend if your giving out free passes! what race do you plan on running next! I think you would be someone that would push me!

From James Holt on Mon, May 12, 2008 at 17:00:53

Bill - If they wont let me tack the extra month on to my existing pass you can have it. My next race will probably be the Speedster 10k on June 7. I'll push you if you'd like but youll have to find a stroller big enough. :) Im going to try to shave a couple minutes off my pr if its not a hard course.
