Treadmill. Cold out so I stayed inside. Stopped and stretched out a couple times and that helped a little but it was still pretty uncomfortable the whole time.

Parkway. Found a cheap running stroller the other day so I was able to combine my two loves, running and being with my daughter today. Much better temps today and not much pain.

Grapevine to Highland park. SOOOOOOO NICE to go on a decent run!!!!!!!!! I cant believe how much I was missing running and feeling good while doing it. Got a little tight coming down the hill but nothing horrible. Dont think ive lost to much fitness the last month. Beautiful day for a run.

Greensprings. Very nice afternoon run pushing Ada in the stroller. Took the watch and was suprised that the stroller didnt slow me down as bad as I thought.

Parkway w/Sienna Hills ext. Pushing the stroller up the hills was pretty taxing today so the whole run was very slow. No pain but super tight/uncomfortable across pelvis and inside of the thighs.

Middleton. Another stroller run today. It was a bit chilly at first but pushing that thing warmed me up quick. A few times I thought I was going to hurt or get tight but it seemed to work itself out without any real issues.

Landfill. First time along the river trail since the floods. Unfortunatly it is washed away in a couple spots and I dont think that they will be able to fix it without lots of work and money. You can still get by but there is a little climbing involved. Too bad as I really like that run. Pretty good run without much pain.

City Wells. Pushed Ada in the stroller up to the Maverik then did the rest solo. Felt pretty slow and tired the whole run. Tighter and had more pain than any day this week.

Junction. Great run today. Legs had lots of energy and no pain until the last 3 miles. Beautiful temps and a nice pace. Its nice to have these runs to even out the crap days. Watched a hawk and raven battling it out in the skys for a few minutes.

Fields. Drove into the fields just past the bridge to avoid running with the stroller through the construction. Felt ok but the wind was blowing so hard it was hard to move the stroller down the road. Stopped at the park so Ada could play for a few minutes. Coming back was better as the wind was at my back but it was pushing the stroller all over the road so I was in constant fear of heading into a car.

Highland park via Grapevine. Decent run after not getting out yesterday. Tightened up coming off the hill and felt it the rest of the way home.

1.5 Parkway with the whole family at a nice slow pace.
9.5 Middleton. Had pain in my lower abs as well as tightness in the lower area. Stopped a few times and stretched during the run. Aside from that I felt good and had a nice run. |

Parkway/Firestation. Decent run tonight. Went harder than any run since starting back up and felt really good until about 4 then the legs got tired. Slowed to a jog for a couple miles then picked it up again the last 2. No real pain or tightness.

Not my best time for a half (actually my slowest road half in years) but considering im still trying to work out the groin/ab issue I wont get to down about it.
The garmin was dead so I didnt get any splits and I decided to leave the music home which I think helped me focus a bit on my running. Felt good at the start but could tell after about a mile that I was going to have to fight to keep whatever pace we where currently going at. I fell in behind a guy that lives up the street and just tried to not let him get to far ahead and man was that a lot of effort. Im glad I didnt have the watch cause if I would have seen the pace I think I might have gotten frustrated. It felt like we where pushing a good pace and I thought we might come across around 1:20 so when I heard the time at the finish I was taken back just a little. That was a hard fought 6:2X pace if Ive ever run one.
More sore than Ive been in quite awhile today but I dont think I aggrivated anything so thats a good thing. |
