| CC/Gilbert Development. Started out good but on the way back the hail started and those little suckers hitting my cold face and ears was painfull. Thankfully it only lasted a couple of miles then it was just chilly.

One of those times where you start out really positive then it gets hard and you start to get mad and frustrated at life and being old and not being fast and your cursing the people in their cars because they are in the way but then you finish and it turns out you held a pretty good pace. | No goals or expectations today. I just wanted to get a long run in and have some fun on the trails. Saw Dave and Logan just before the start but once we started they went out a little harder with the high school kids running the 1/2 so I hung back a bit. Caught Logan just before the end of the first leg but lost him again as I stopped to pick out something to eat. Followed him through most of the 2nd stage until the last couple miles then I caught up enough that we could chat for those last few miles. Stopped and got a drink before starting the 3rd and final leg. Legs where tired but there was some good down hill at the first of this leg so I went as hard as I could dodging around people running the 1/2. Finished pretty well at the end of a higher mileage week.
Had tons of fun, the views were great when I was able to look up from watching the trail so I didnt kill myself. Glad I did this one.

| City Wells. Yard work the last few days had given me a sore body so I figured I'd do my tempo on wed and take today easy. Got going up the trail and felt really good so I decided to come home tempo speed or tempo effort. No watch so I couldn't give a guess but I was working hard even with the downhill assistance. Made it back to the road and decided to extend over to grapevine. Made it out and turned around but I was starting to fade bad. Talked myself into one last mile but as i turned getting back onto the road by the round about I went down hard. Of course I jumped up quick looking around to see if anyone had seen. I was in the clear but wounded. Jogged it home slow with hurt legs, wrists and pride.

| Fields tempo. 2.5 warm, 6 tempo, 2.5 cool. Went around Chipmans hill today. Started slower and tried to keep relaxed. I'm starting to dread these runs so I was trying to relax mentally as this pace isn't really faster than what I run a whole 26 miles at so a few miles at this pace or slightly faster shouldn't be so taxing. | Parkway/Dino Tracks. Super good run today. Beautiful outside, body felt good and the trail was nice. Couldnt ask for much more. Glad these come along every so often. It helps keep me motivated.
