Drove out to Hurricane early and ran from the bank out to Sandhollow and back to get my long run in. I wasnt sure how well the race would go because I was feeling pretty worn by the end of the run and I was thinking of blowing chunks. Streatch out a bit and went over the course with Terry so in case I was ahead I didnt get lost. Talked to Ken for a few before the start which was nice. Havent talked with him for a while. Started out easy and then tried to pick up the pace and go hard. Thats difficult to do after running over 18 miles. Ended up doing pretty well and the legs held together nicely. Plus I didnt puke so bonus for me. I think the course was short by a little this year.

Great job James... not only hitting a good pre long run but then focusing the tired legs to turn out some fast miles for the race. Thats a good sign!

Did I read that right? You ran 18 miles, then you raced? And won? You're an animal.

Good turnover coming out right now!

I so envy you guys down there right now! I thought we could start ramping up the warm weather running. Not so fast! Great run for you!
