Mustang Pass via Main. Got out about 10 am and it was in the upper 70's. By the time I got home it was over 100. The swamp cooler I used last year isnt hooked up anylonger but I lucked out and they have a sprinkler setup to wet down the sand around the well and it happened to be dripping out some water. Took a couple minutes to fill the bottle but Ill take it over no water anyday. Felt really good until the last 3 miles when the heat had taken its toll on my body.

James, not sure if you remember me, but I talked to you at the Dogtown Half last year. I ran with Dave in high school. Anyway, it wasn't much cooler at 6:00 this morning on the Icehouse Trail. At least you had clean water to refill with. The only water along Icehouse was a nasty wildlife guzzler. Bill

Hey Bill! I remember you. I was wondering whos footprints were in the sand up there. At least you where smart enough to get out before full heat set in. Ill never learn.
