Marathon course. Started off with Bill and Mike for a 2 mile warm up then hit a 1/2 marathon at half marathon pace. The legs where still fatuiged from the weeks earlier speed work but I was hoping to be able to hit something slightly over 6:00 pace. Ended with a 1:20:50 (6:10) so im happy with the run. The weather was incredible, cool with clear skys and only slightly warm once the sun came up. The legs did great the first 4 then the downhill started at the volcano and they got pretty beat up but held up really well. Even had some of my fastest miles towards the end when I felt like I was slowing. Really good workout. |
