The wife hurt her back and couldnt run so she talked me into taking her place in the race today. I figured it couldnt hurt to try. Worse case I slow down and jog best case I can judge where my fitness level is.

Started out with my 7 year old and ran with him for a block then told him to keep it going and that I'd come back after I finished and run in with him. Picked up the pace until it was hard but bearable for 3 miles. Held up pretty well but by the last quarter mile I was huffing pretty good. Ran back and found Gabe and ran him in the last few blocks. He did great and its fun to see him excited to want to run races. Suprised that there wherent more speedsters and that I got third place with an almost 20 min time. Jogged out a bit and waited for Dave and Clyde to come in on the 1/2. Legs, abs and groin held up fine and didnt bug at all. Maybe Ill slowly start doing some quicker pace running.

Nice jaunt. You've slowly started to put a routine together again. This week is a big positive for you.

Great! Couldn't be better news about the injury having some progress. Thanks for yelling at me. I seemed to be having a bit of a side ache/breathing problem there at the end, so it was good to see happy faces! How did Gabe do?

Thanks Travis!

Gabe ran 28. A couple minutes slower than the last one but still fun to see him out there doing it.

Good to see a race report from you. Hope you keep making progress. Good job!
