Did a couple mile warmup with Austin, Dustin, Dave and Hayden. I usually dont get out to quick but I was wanting 1:20 so I figured id better not take any chances. There where a couple of clowns talking as the race got going about how all the people in front of them would never be able to keep their pace the whole race. Never saw those bozos again after mile 1. Steve got me settled into a good grove and I just wanted to keep it up the whole race. That didnt happen but I still PR'd by a minute plus. Got a horrid cramp around mile 8 and thought about blowing chunks a couple times but was able to survive. Legs where spent by the end. Not quite the time I was gunning for but I feel good about how things are progressing. |
