Was a little nervous about doing this run with the body being moody right now but ended up feeling pretty good and had a real fun run. Met up at the Elim Valley subdivision, signed in and got the race route from the director. These Underground Runner events are really low key. No timing or aid stations. Just come out and run and get a cool finishers medal.

Started easy and didnt feel any issues so I moved in to a comfortable pace and hoped for the best. Ran west along the rim of the river to the Dam Road and then back. Had a few good sized climbs and lots of rolling so it wasnt an easy run by any means. Legs got pretty cold and lots of the little changes in the flow of the trail that normally wouldnt bother caused weird twisting and pulling but I think I came through unscathed. Glad I went and as a bonus I got a super cool mayan calender finisher medal.
